History
IAS (Insurance Advisory Service (NSW) Pty Ltd) is a wholly Australian owned
financial services company providing advice to business and personal clients on a
range of products including insurance and financial planning.
We are a national business that understands the local market.
While IAS has a core focus on providing financial services solutions for small
to medium-sized businesses, we also have an extensive portfolio of long term personal
clients.
We know the issues and risks that concern businesses and individuals.
The shareholders and directors of IAS are Doug and Carol Brassett (AAII), and
Cathrine Baker, who collectively have been in the industry since 1970. Over the past
38 years an ever increasing synergy has grown between insurance, investment and
financial services and IAS's extensive experience means they are able to provide
a comprehensive solution to corporate and individual clients' requirements.

We are members of the Steadfast Group Limited, which is an unlisted public company
comprising of 278 medium sized, AFS licensed insurance brokerages. Steadfast is
Australia's largest autonomous Insurance Broker cluster Group, generating in excess
of $2.5 billion in annual premium turnover.
Our relationship with Steadfast Group is a strong one. Our membership is beneficial
to us, and ultimately clients, because it allows us to maintain our independence but
also have the strength to negotiate better terms, conditions from underwriters,
premium funders and strategic alliance partners.

IAS is a family business. The family's second generation is now involved,
providing a dynamic new approach that is helping IAS provide an even better
product and service offering to clients. They are tasked with developing the business
to aim higher in everything it does, and this will result in increased success for
the company and our clients.
